What do you do as Recruitment Captain?
Recruitment week is one of the most exciting weeks of the year! As Recruitment Captain, I work to promote and enhance the legacy of ZTA sisterhood. I collaborate with my team to plan our chapter’s recruitment activities that will conclude by welcoming home our new members on bid day.
What is your favorite memory from your recruitment?
During recruitment week, I met a ZTA who was the most genuine person I’d ever met. I knew the moment I met her that I wanted to be friends. As I was running home to ZTA on bid day, I went straight to @kennsmith and just knew that I had found my home and made a friendship that would last a lifetime. Little did I know, she would soon become my big sister! I can wholeheartedly admit that I would not be the same person today without Kennedy in my life. #GOTEXASZETA

Go into the week with the mindset of trying to get to know other people, rather than just getting through conversations. How did you know Zeta was the house for you?
Everytime I walked up to the Zeta house, I was so excited to go inside. I clicked well with every girl I talked to and felt like I was making real friendships already. No amount of time at Zeta felt long enough, and I walked out smiling uncontrollably every time. It was like the perfect first date you never want to end and can’t stop smiling about.

We work to ensure that everyone in the chapter is getting involved, staying positive, and having fun!
You were a legacy. How did that impact you becoming a Zeta?
My sister was a Zeta ten years before I went through recruitment and always raved about how amazing her experiences were. When I went through recruitment week and heard the song “Zeta Goodnight,” it brought back the memory of my older sister singing that same song to me at bedtime. I left the house that day knowing that Zeta could be my home away from home, and my new sisters would always be there for me. #GOTEXASZETA
