With Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter, social media has become a huge part of our lives. We all have it, and we all love it. Since the University of Texas is such a huge school, social media makes it easy to keep up with what’s happening around you. Your 2016 ZTA Recruitment Team is here to tell you some of the best accounts to follow so you can stay updated and entertained. Instagram stalk away!

First off, the Texas ZTA Instagram @texaszta will let you know about all things ZTA. From sisterhood events to fun vacations to 4.0 Fridays, our historians show off the amazing girls of the Kappa Chapter in the cutest ways. Check out the hashtag #GOTEXASZETA for some more fun pictures, too! While you’re at it, follow our historian PC ‘14 Kelsey Applebaum’s personal instagram @applebaum_jeans and her partner in crime for the summer PC ‘13 Kate McBee @batemckee to see their study abroad adventures in Prague. For more international royalty, follow PC ‘15 Katie Sutherland @ktsuth and Jolie Fisher @joliefisher to see their journey in Israel on birthright, or PC ‘14 Julianna Maxwell @jules.maxwell to see her pictures from studying in Australia. While Jules is there she’s even working for a small business called Loving Islands that encourages sustainable farming within the communities of the islands around Australia and Fiji. You can follow their Instagram @lovingislands for some healthy and yummy recipes.

Speaking of food, Austin is known for being a foodie town. If food is one of your main sources of happiness (like me), then you definitely picked the right school. Follow @spoon_texas for all the delicious food and tasty treats around Austin, or @juliet_ate_romeo, which is run by PC ’11 Juilet Mullins, a Texas ZTA alum! You can also follow @studentinsidertexas for some good deals and coupons around campus.

Of course you can’t forget the greatness that is Texas Football. If one thing is for sure, it’s that Zetas love the horns! Follow the official football recruiting Instagram @longhornsfootball to get the scoop on players, and the official Texas Athletics Instagram @texaslonghorns to stay updated on the other awesome athletics here at the University of Texas. Despite the sadness we’re still experiencing from the death of Bevo XIV last fall, we are so excited for Bevo XV to be unveiled at the season opener against Notre Dame! Look for our very own PC ‘13 Erin Ball on the field as she works it as Head Sweetheart for the Silver Spurs and follow her on Instagram @erinballerrr for some up close pictures of Bevo XV.
