Day 1 and Day 2: OPEN HOUSE

Welcome to the first round of recruitment!!! During the first two days of recruitment you will be given a t-shirt that is provided by Texas Panhellenic. You are required to wear the t-shirt along with khaki shorts and tennis shoes. I recommend going to J.Crew or Old Navy to find khaki shorts. Feel free to pair this outfit with a belt or jewelry to add your own personality. Since the sorority houses are spread out around west campus it’s important that you wear your most comfortable tennis shoes. 

Day 3 and Day 4: PHILANTHROPY

During the next two days of recruitment you will learn about each sororities philanthropy. This round is our personal favorite because it’s really interesting to learn about how each sororities unique philanthropic organizations. Our national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness so during philanthrophy we wear pink. As the rounds progress throughout the week, the attire for each event becomes more dressy. I recommend that you wear a cute sundress with either sandals, platforms or wedges on philanthrophy days. 

Day 5: SISTERHOOD

During day 5, each sorority gets to show off their unique personality and sisterhood. This round gives you a better idea of what it would be like to be a member of that chapter. A classy dress paired with heels or wedges would be the perfect outfit for this round. Consider wearing sneakers for walking and stash your heels in your bag, that way you can be comfortable walking house to house. During this round, you may have up to six houses in one day, so it is important to stay very comfortable. A dress you would wear to a banquet or award ceremony would be fitting for this occasion.

Day 6: PREFERENCE NIGHT

Preference night is the final round of recruitment. You’ll have one or two houses to go to. This is the most formal round of recruitment and it’s recommended that potential new members wear a black dress. You can also pair this dress with fancy heels.
 
Day 7: BID DAY! 

Bid day is one of the best days ever!!! After the craziness and whirlwind of recruitment, bid day is the most fun and exciting! You’ll start off your day at Hogg auditorium where you’ll sit on your bid card until instructed to open it. Once you open your card and see what house you now belong to you will meet outside Hogg with your new sorority sisters. Shortly after you’ll run home to your new sorority house where hundreds of girls are waiting to welcome you with big smiles on their faces! Get ready for lots of happy tears, hugs, pictures, and meeting your new best friends and sisters. Remember that you’ll make your best friends no matter where you run home to on bid day! For this round I recommend that you wear a brightly colored romper or dress with comfortable sandals.
